Brand Founder AcademyDo not click "Set up Netlify DNS."
That moves your whole domain over to Netlify, which breaks your email records and makes the switch to your store harder later. Keep the domain where you bought it.
| Type | Name | Value | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | @ | 75.2.60.5 | Points yourbrand.com at Netlify |
| CNAME | www | [yoursite].netlify.app | Points www.yourbrand.com at Netlify |
Leave your email records alone.
The MX and TXT records from The Setup Checklist run your email. Do not edit or delete them here.
Why: most domains come with an email security setting that sends email to spam unless it is signed by your own domain. These 4 records let Klaviyo sign your emails as you. Without them, your welcome email lands in spam.
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | send | The long value Claude gives you, ending in klaviyodns.com |
| CNAME | mtd1._domainkey | The value Claude gives you |
| CNAME | mtd2._domainkey | The value Claude gives you |
| TXT | @ | [klaviyo-site-verification=] followed by your 6-character Klaviyo site ID |
Your values are your own.
The long values are different for every Klaviyo account. Copy yours from Claude, not from this guide or anyone else's screen.
In Your Store in a Day, you connect this same domain to your store. You change only the 2 website records from section 2 to the ones your store gives you. Your email records and your 4 Klaviyo records stay exactly as they are. Your list stays in Klaviyo, untouched.
Registrar and Netlify menus change from time to time. If a button has moved, search for it by name. The Netlify address 75.2.60.5 was checked in September 2026 in Netlify's own help pages. The Klaviyo records were checked in September 2026 on a working account.
